Alan Bozof
Alan Bozof’s Story
Alan Bozof was named Treasurer of the National Meningitis Association in 2018, following the passing of his wife and former NMA President Lynn Bozof. Lynn co-founded the NMA in 2002 and led the organization for more than 15 years – with Alan always by her side – working tirelessly to raise awareness of meningitis prevention.
Alan and Lynn’s 20-year-old son, Evan, died on April 20, 1998, after a 26-day battle with meningococcal disease. Evan was a college junior, honor student and pitcher on his university baseball team. Evan’s family was unaware that a vaccine existed that could have saved his life. Alan resides in Fort Myers, Florida
