March Came In Roaring Like a Lion …

There’s a line from an old song, that “March came roaring in like a lion….”  Well, to me, March came in and devastated.  Just in my circle of people, here are just a few of the children we lost to bacterial meningitis in March – Christopher Maier, Casey Lee, Erin Krejny, Pat Kepferle, Beth Ann Miller, Brendan Hession, Cherice Cochran, Alan Martin, Jennifer O’Neill, Sara Beth Whitehead.  I know there are more.  Along with these losses comes unending grief for family and friends.  Their lives will never be the same.  I get sad, thinking about the lives that could have been prevented with vaccination.  Lives we can never go back and replace.  We don’t have the chance to go back and vaccinate our children.  I urge all parents to make sure their children are up to date on all vaccines, so that their names are never included on a list like the one above.
